laughter, the way a smile turns up

the sound of rustling leaves, foreign paths on barefoot feet 

the way the grass smells when it’s freshly cut, and flowers in my hair 

a cicada symphony

the way Your hands hold me, boy You never once fail

fresh water in the summer heat, little waves crashing in around my feet

people who You gave me, to show that Love prevails 

these things, some simple they may be, make my soul sing

thankfulness of how in just one day, the blessings that You bring
